Gun Sounds

Created and Directed by Natalie Nicholas & Henry Winship

Gun Sounds is a one-man show about a performers inner journey to understand himself.

El Misterio De Elche

Nicholas Video Designed El Misterio De Elche a modern retelling of a 400-year-old play about the Virgin Mary’s coronation death and ascension.

The Fig and The Wasp

Nicholas was the Video Designer for Fig and The Wasp, a highly theatrical and inventive play that examined what is lost in a future that no longer values what it means to be human.  It saw The Walt Disney Modular Theater transform into a futuristic landscape of an antiseptic, technologically enhanced world. With nine projectors and two live cameras, Nicholas brought the heavily video-designed world of Fig and The Wasp to life.

LIVE FEED

Our lead actor was suspended in a 6-foot steel sphere above the stage for almost the entire show. With her, a live feed camera. The live feed was projected on three surfaces on the outside of the sphere.

The audience sat “in the round”. Three sets of double rows sat in front of 16 x 9 foot screens.

These screens were used to show the decomposition of the world around them.

The end of the play featured a 3-minute short film that preluded the lead actors descend from the sphere.
